Set in a near-future Las Vegas, it follows four children fleeing through a single night after their parents are taken by an authoritarian surveillance state. The humans operating the system make the choices. The machines, in this story, are the ones who refuse.
I'm drawn to the crossroads where compassion meets courage—a song about a soldier questioning orders, a mother crossing borders, four kids running through the neon dark with nothing but each other and the truth. I served as a combat medic specialized in rescue, then spent years investigating technology crimes. Those experiences taught me what people look like when everything is stripped away—and how easily systems built to protect become instruments of control. I carry those lessons into every story I tell.
